Kaspersky Antivirus Review

Kaspersky’s antivirus program is a good choice for malware detection rates. Its extra security features, like parental controls, file shredding and backups, a VPN and a secure browser are also a nice addition. However, the program’s UI has a bit of a learning process and isn’t easy to get into, especially when you first install it. The interface, however, becomes intuitive after a short initial setup process and there are a variety of options for customization that allow you to personalize Kaspersky to your needs. Additionally the Timeline and Notification Center located at the bottom of “Home” allows you to manage important tasks without leaving the main screen.

The image of the company was tarnished when it was accused in 2017 of cooperating with the Russian government, and certain countries banned its software. While the accusation was not proven but the company has worked hard to restore its image, and launched its Global Transparency initiative so users can know more about its source code and threat detection rules and data collection methods.

All Kaspersky subscriptions come with real-time protection on Windows, Mac and Android devices. Some plans also come with a dedicated antivirus app for iOS that includes automatic scanning and instant scans for settings, apps, and images. Some of the premium plans, like Total Security and Internet Security, include other features like an app locker to keep and display your private apps and parental controls.
